Here we go, not only trains but greenscaping as well. Supposed to soften the noise and disperse the stormwater into the ground. Looks nice, too, at least during the wet season.

 

Some of them you don't even have to mow, kind of a natural landscape sort of thing. What did they used to call it? Xeriscape?

 


Then, if you choose a complementary color for the rail vehicle and the grass . . .
