We used to have passenger rail service in Sarasota, years ago, to other cities. I propose that we have passenger (electric) rail service within the city for local trips, and with park and ride lot/structures at the city limits. |

We HAVE to have Bayfront Connectivity, right? Otherwise "they" will get you, right? Right! Does it have to cost $50 million, though? I think that we could have all the "Bayfront Connectivity" we wanted with a few phone calls rather than by spending a claimed $50 million for radical changes to the roads. |

Newtown really was new, when it was new. People tell me that the old segregated district was called "Overtown" and the new segregated district was to be called Newtown. Well, segregation is supposed to be over. |

Our high-priced charrette organizer Andrés Duany was obviously fond of the idea of Urban Mixed Use. Trouble is, we have to tear half the town down and unaffordably rebuild according to his plan in order to achieve his holy grail. Or do we? |
